Police Monitored Alarm

Police monitored intruder alarms are a powerful security measure for businesses and homeowners alike. A police monitored alarm is connected to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), which is notified when the alarm is triggered. The ARC then contacts the police to dispatch a response to the property. This provides an added level of security, as not only will the alarm alert people on the property and potentially deter intruders, but it will also activate a police response.

It is important to note that police monitored alarms require a unique reference number (URN) from the police. This is obtained after the installation of the alarm system and ensures that the police are aware of the property’s alarm system and how to respond to any alerts.

Additionally, police monitored intruder alarms need to have two maintenance visits per year to ensure that they remain in good working condition. This is a requirement of the police and is necessary to ensure that the system is functioning properly in case of an emergency.
